so far

Biggest packing regret: not bringing a second towel

Biggest surprise: first visit to the ocean was a slightly chilly, rainy, breezy day. We went for a swim in the ocean to warm up.

Best surprise: phenomenally awesome people

Biggest disappointment: only instant coffee

Favorite spot: top of the Momi guns

Favorite moment: too many to mention, but highlights include playing songs on guitar accompanied by a violinist by the pool last night

Favorite activity: sitting around singing at the kava bowl

Physical state: sleepy (it's 10:30 PM-- WAY past my Fijian bedtime)

Favorite food: peanut gravy on potatoes (which will no longer be served after tomorrow to make the lodge safe for students with peanut allergies)

Least favorite food: condensed milk, and an unidentifiable tomato gravy looking thing

Favorite animal: Sausage Lion (he's a dog)

Looking forward to: meeting the baby goats at Shalini's house next door; diving!

Biggest packing victory: guitar -- sat on the deck by the pool last night with a fellow staff member who is a violinist, and we played music together. It was incredible. Also, my medicine dropper full of vinegar and rubbing alcohol mixture (a trick I learned from Czar on Marine Ecology) for preventing ear infections. Another staff member was having ear problems the first day, and I offered it to her, and her ear got better.
